Vehicle interference

Alert message sent 28/10/2019 15:10:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

On the 23rd of October at approximately 4am, a vehicle was attempted to be entered in Abergavenny Walk in Ernesford Grange. The vehicle was locked and secure and the offender was disturbed in the act.
Police are appealing for witnesses or residents with cctv in the area to come forward.
Several cars have been stolen in the city in recent months without the car keys being used; this may be due to cars having keyless entry systems which can be exploited or from central locking systems not operating correctly. Officers recently spend some time on patrol trying car doors and several were found to be unlocked – it is always advisable to check that vehicles are secure.
