Malicious Communications

Alert message sent 13/03/2018 08:55:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen

Over the weekend, there were a number of reports of malicious communications sent to individuals across the UK and several police forces are investigating.

At this time, there have been no reports of any incidents in the West Midlands area.

Counter Terrorism Policing North East are coordinating the investigation at this time and will consider any potential links to existing enquiries.

Police are treating this matter extremely seriously and we would urge anyone who receives a letter of this nature to report it to us on 101 and we will investigate.’
