Theft of Motor Vehicles and Weekly Updates

Alert message sent 03/03/2018 14:40:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Hodge Hill
Dear Resident,

In the past 14 days, Hodge Hill have suffered from six separate thefts of motor vehicles.

Streets that these occurred on include:
- Bromford Drive
- Ermington Crescent
- Roughlea Avenue
- Bromford Lane
- Foley Road
- Twyford Road

All these vehicles were believed to be left secure. It is always worthwhile to think of ways you can secure your vehicle and prevent the possibility of your car being stolen, even if you lock your car every time you leave.

Please ensure that you:
  • Lock all windows, doors and the sunroof whenever you leave the vehicle, even for just a few minutes
  • Remove all valuables
  • Park in a busy and well-lit area
  • If you are using a car park to make sure it is a secure one
You can also use other preventative measures such as security marking your tools and other high value property. For more information on how to properly secure your car or van please click here.

From the week commencing the 5th March 2018, I am looking at creating weekly updates for our WMNow users in the Hodge Hill area. These updates will include local issues, events, crime prevention advice and what has happened during the week including crime.

If you don't follow us on Twitter please do to be constantly updated with what we are doing as a team to help the residents of Hodge Hill.

Thank you for taking your time to read this message
